Apologies that it has been weeks since my last post! What with work craziness, Halloween festivities, illness (poor P!), first birthday party prep (already!) and the impending arrival of the in-laws, this little blog has sadly been neglected (and will likely continue to be so until the end of November). That said, there were three bits of information I came across today that I couldn’t resist mentioning:
From RackedLA, the Bugaboo store in El Segundo is having their biggest sale ever this Saturday, at 1160 East Mariposa Ave., from 10am – 3pm. You must RSVP to email@example.com by this Friday to attend.
Zulily is offering a $50 credit to Acme Party Box Company for $30. Often mentioned in party and kids blogs, the site offers beautifully crafted party supplies in various themes, such as Circus and Woodland.

And finally, I had been searching a long time for the perfect keepsake gift for P’s first birthday. With the help of Daily Candy, I may have found it: Catbird’s Alphabet Rings.

The Mini Social holds warehouse sales at their headquarters 2 – 3 times per year. Over the summer, I picked up several cashmere Lillybee sweaters and dresses, an adorable Acoustic jacket, simple and sweet Egg by Susan Lazar pants, Baby Eggi tops, and other items starting at around $8! Go early as the good stuff sells fast!
The Renegade Craft Fair is coming back to LA in December! We experienced the 2nd annual LA fair held in July and loved it – unfortunately, it was a ridiculously hot day in the middle of a field with no shade and P was not up to the task. We only got to see a third of it, but will plan on spending the better part of the day there in the winter!
For all my mamas-to-be, Daily Candy Kids is offering 25% off of fall merchandise at Chulamama thru Oct. 21st – just enter code “dailycandy25” at checkout.
And also from RackedLA, Yoox is having a crazy online sample sale thru Oct. 20th.
Lollipop Dream, the well-known Valley baby store/party venue, has moved to a new location at Westfield Fashion Square. Join them tomorrow from 10am – 2pm for free Pinkberry, free t-shirts, lollipops, face painting, and more.
California Baby is hosting a Family Festival this Saturday, with ticket proceeds benefiting the Garden School Foundation. 11am – 2pm at California Baby’s corporate HQ in Los Angeles.

Daily Candy Kids today featured Taster Tots LA, a blog that seeks out foodie-approved, kid-friendly restaurants in the LA area. We’ve gotten much more comfortable taking P out to eat and I’m relieved that the site’s reviews have provided us with great new options!
Following in the footsteps of another great city, Santa Monica gets a food truck lot! (Kogi BBQ, Los Angeles, and Twitter may have made the food truck a national phenomenon, but Portland’s stationary food carts have been around for years.) Various mobile trucks will congregate at 2612 Main Street on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 – 10:00pm. I’m looking forward to the Ludo truck next week! Find out weekly participants here.
